One of our nurses will contact you prior to your admission to conduct a pre-operative assessment. The nurse will ask you a range of personal and medical questions. The purpose of the pre-operative call is to ensure you are a suitable candidate for surgery at Canossa Private Hospital.
The nurse will also discuss with you:
Your arrival time
Your fasting time
Transport and parking arrangements
The length of time you can expect to be at Canossa Private Hospital
Your post-operative care
Any expenses that you will need to pay
You will also need to advise our staff who will be taking you home and staying with you on the night of your surgery.
What to Bring to Hospital
Any doctors’ letters, reports, notes, consent forms
All relevant X-rays and scans
A list of current medications from your doctor or pharmacist
