What do our Operating Theatres offer?
Our peri-operative nurses are first class. Most have worked at some of Australia’s largest hospitals and possess the skills, knowledge and experience to manage any emergency situation. We pride ourselves on the exceptional peri-operative service we provide to our visiting surgeons and anaesthetists.
Led by Sarah Carney, nurse unit manager who has worked at Canossa Private Hospital for over 12 years. Sarah and her team, from administration to discharge nurses, share close working relationships to ensure a caring, professional experience for every surgical patient.
We are committed to providing state-of-the-art equipment and technology to benefit you and your patients. We our committed to our surgical offering in plastics, cosmetics, max fax and gastroenterology. It’s what we are good at and what we are well-equipped for. We have absolute state-of- the-art equipment for our endoscopic practice, and the medical staff adore using this equipment.
Located in the heart of the western suburbs of Brisbane, we service high demand from a growing local community who value a hospital close to where they live and work.
We are located on Seventeen Mile Rocks Rd in Oxley, the expanding western suburbs of Brisbane. Our unique, well-equipped operating theatres feature windows, allowing natural light and sunshine. We don’t have any parking issues and we don’t charge for parking so patients find it easy to get to us, particularly if they live in the western suburbs of Brisbane.

It’s a beautiful mix of intimacy, holistic care, expertise, high-end intervention, after care and follow up. Our staff take pride in providing old-fashioned, high-quality nursing care to patients, supporting them through their peri-operative journey from beginning to end.
We are a small, two operating theatre department and predominately offer day surgery gastroenterology services, maxillofacial surgery, plastics reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. We are open to expanding this offering into general surgery, ophthalmology and possibly gynaecology. We are the ideal solution for smaller/solo surgical practices and keen to have a conversation with any practitioners interested in operating at Canossa Private Hospital.
