General Medicine
The General Medicine unit offers care for adult patients with a variety of sub-acute medical conditions, including respiratory disorders, diabetes, congestive heart failure, arthritis, skin disorders and other medical disorders.
Canossa Private Hospital works closely with a range of Specialist Physicians to provide a specialised medical service.
Care Team
Canossa’s General Medicine unit is staffed by a dedicated team of professionals skilled across both general and rehabilitation care.
Our team of professionals, who work under the leadership of Specialist Physicians, includes the following:
Nursing teams under the direction of a Nurse Unit Manager
- Social Workers
- Physiotherapists
- Occupational Therapists
Other professionals are consulted to assist on an as-needs basis. This may include but is not limited to Speech Pathology, Dietitian, Podiatry, the patient’s General Practitioner and other Specialist Medical Practitioners.
Referrals
Specialists and General Practitioners can refer directly to the Hospital.
